HOW TO REACH ELEPHANT BEACH
To reach Elephant Beach from Havelock Island, you can take a speed boat from the Havelock jetty. The journey takes around 20 minutes to cover a distance of 8.7 kilometers. The speed boats are available at regular intervals throughout the day.
Alternatively, if you prefer trekking, you can take a 2.5 km trek through the jungle, which begins on the way to Radhanagar Beach. This trek should take around 30 minutes, and guides are available at the entrance if you need one. It’s important to carry enough water and wear comfortable footwear for the trek.
BEST TIME TO VISIT ELEPHANT BEACH
The best time to visit Elephant Beach is during the winter months of November to March. The weather during this time is pleasant with cool temperatures and low humidity, making it perfect for enjoying the beach and water activities.
It is not recommended to visit Elephant Beach during the summer months, which are from April to May, as the temperature can reach extreme levels. Monsoons from June to October also bring high humidity, and the beach may remain closed during this time due to safety concerns.
